The 3 Essential Working Modes
The HR2630 features a mechanical dial on the bottom of the gear housing to switch between three distinct tool functions:
-
Rotation Only: Disengages the pneumatic hammer completely. Used with a standard 3-jaw chuck adapter to drill precision holes in timber, plastics, and metals.
-
Hammering with Rotation: Engages both the piston slam and the spinning motion. This is the standard setting for punch-drilling clean fastener anchor holes into concrete walls and stone.
-
Hammering Only (Chiseling Mode): Locks the rotation entirely but allows the piston to hit. If you pop in a flat chisel or point bit, the drill transforms into a mini-jackhammer for stripping old bathroom tiles, channeling grout lines out of brickwork, or breaking up small concrete pads
